AFTERNOON TEA

Well here we are at the end of a super week, I decided to mention on the day we are leaving that one of the best afternoon teas I have had this year was here in Guernsey at the Old Government House Hotel & Spa Guernsey If you are ever here you should try it.

You could of course make your own afternoon tea, salmon sandwiches, ham and tomato and don't forget the trusty cucumber with a soft cheese, remove the crusts and then slice into finger size morsels (see picture above) you could then make the Guernsey Gouch, and a chocolate cake and wash it all down with a pot of tea using cups and saucers to finish the traditional look, or yes you guessed a nice glass of bubbly...enjoy See you sometime next week for another post.
